about us

Birds of feather flock together.

The Baglaenko Lab of Immunogenetics in the Division of Human Genetics at Cincinnati Children's Hospital is focused on developing new experimental and computational approaches to answer the most difficult questions in inflammatory and infectious diseases.

We sit at the intersection of immunology, genetics, and genomics.

Our motto is: crazy, but important.

Crazy, But Important

The first and most important question we ask ourselves is “what is the impact on human disease?” Every question, every tool, and every experiment is rooted in better understanding and treating human disease.

The key pillars of our work are:

  • Focus on new technologies. The right tool is critical to answering the hardest of questions. We develop and use new tools in the single cell space.

  • Foundation in human immunology. Mice are great, but human disease is our driving force. The work we do focuses on using human tissues and samples.

If this excites you! Check out our research. We love to collaborate when we can.
